Apple has changed its App Store Review Guidelines, and now requires the app to be submitted by the provider of the app's content rather than the software vendor. Please refer to Guideline 4.2.6 of the App Store Review Guidelines.

If you don't already have an Apple Developer Account, you need to enrol in the Apple Developer Program as an Organisation, and provide Actigage access to App Store Connect and the Apple Developer Account so that we can submit the app to the Apple App Store on your behalf.

While enrolling in the Apple Developer Program, you will be required to provide a D-U-N-S Number.  To find out your organisation's D-U-N-S Number, you may use the D-U-N-S Number look up tool.

Here's how you can grant access to your App Store Connect & Apple Developer Account.

These are the steps to complete in order to grant Actigage access to your App Store Connect & Apple Developer account. This will allow Actigage to upload the iOS app on your behalf after you have enrolled in the Apple Developer Program (

The benefit of doing this is that Actigage engineers will do all the necessary work to publish your app for you. If there are any app updates required, provisioning profile, distribution certificate, or push notification certificate, this will be carried out by Actigage.

Follow the steps below to first grant access to your App Store Connect account and then to your Apple Developer account. The prerequisite for this process is that your Actigage representative should have provided you with the Apple ID information that will be used for this process.

Navigate to and log in with your credentials.

You should see different buttons for different sections in App Store Connect. Click on 'Users and Roles'.

The Users list will show. Click on the '+' icon to add a new user.

Next, enter the user information for this new account in App Store Connect. The most important piece of information is the Apple ID. Please enter the information as mentioned below:

First Name: Actigage

Last Name: <Event Name>

Email address:

Click 'Next'.

Now, you will assign permissions to this new user. Select the App Manager role.  This permission level will allow Actigage to perform all the necessary tasks to create and update your apps.  You will also need to allow access to the required app, and access to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles.

Note: this permission level is still below the “Team Agent” permission level and cannot do the following:

  • Agree to new terms and conditions by Apple
  • See Sales Reports and Trends, Taxes, Banking sections
  • Add new users to the App Store Connect account App Managers can only see the below sections:

Click 'Next'.

In the next section, you are asked to edit the notification settings for this account. You can leave it on the default values.

  • Click on 'Save'. This is the last step.
  • You will be taken back to the Users and Roles overview. An email invitation has been sent to the Actigage email address you entered earlier. The invitation will be accepted by one of the App Operations engineers and work can resume.

That’s it. Please get in touch with your Actigage representative if you have any questions.
